Target Announces New E-Commerce Distribution Centers
WDGC assisted Target Corporation [NYSE: TGT] in site selection for another two regional distribution centers. One center subsequently located in Memphis (TN) and the other in York (PA). Our charge therefore involved labor market assessment, centering on various sites identified by Target’s real estate and logistics team. We also negotiated an incentives package in both areas. Each DC was, as a result, approximately 1.2 million SF with a capex exceeding $75 million. Permanent headcount was therefore around 400 with over 800 seasonal.
