Proprietary Location Database
A comprehensive collection of government and private data resources totaling over 500 statistical variables, consistent across all geographies (e.g. by drive time, county, metro, regional submarket, state and nation). Specialized proprietary data includes historical union election activity, resident labor pools by defined job families (e.g. customer service underemployment, etc.), and market wages compiled into targeted occupations and industries.
Detailed Commuter Analysis
GIS mapping software constructs alternate commute routes from each employee’s address to each test site utilizing the most efficient mode(s) of available transportation (auto, rail, bus, ferry). Commute time outputs are door-to-door and include walk time to-from train station and transfer delays. Related commute costs (i.e. gas, tolls, fares, parking) can be calculated if desired.
Employee Retention Model
Faced with a worksite relocation employees must choose to commute (local), relocate (remote), or separate (i.e. attrit or retire). WDGC performs an in-depth analysis to project employee actions based on proven mobility indicators. Results support business disruption and cost expectations serving as a guide for client decision-making and internal planning efforts.
Relocation/Recurring Cost Models
Quantifies the non-recurring cost impacts associated with worksite relocation/consolidation including: separation (i.e. stay bonus, severance, replacement), employee relocation expenses, commutation assistance, transition management, and parallel staffing. Recurring cost projections are adjusted for market variations and include all key geographically variable expenses: payroll, occupancy, air travel, and corporate taxes (i.e. income, sales, personal property). Annual costs are adjusted by any expected economic incentive offsets.
